Idk, tbh I’ve never thought of writing Miguel/Alonzo straight up… I know I have like 1 fic tagged as them but I should probably take that tag off the fic bc it’s not really there like that/I scaled back on some of stuff I had planned anyway :S… It’s kinda funny because I remember watching Oz Youtube clips before I’d watched the show (like, back in middle school maybe, when I was a dumb little homo desperate to find queer rep in media blah blah blah). Back then lowkey highkey being very intrigued by Torquemada, but then I watched the actual show and I was like oh boo… He’s barely in it.

That’s all to say, I find him entertaining as a character and I think it’d be interesting to try and tackle a character study of him (of course, I’d be making up a lot 🥴) but I don’t think my default interpretation of his character is really a thing that makes it possible to write him in any kind of romantic relationship, you know? Based on what little we learn of him from the show, I feel like his main thing is like getting off on power imbalances, voyeurism, enmeshment—that kind of thing. Which is interesting! But yeah, no, I don’t really see romance for him. Without getting too into it, he seems more… business minded, to me? I feel like he just wants to scare the hoes and get rich, which is pretty funny of him. I think exploring some kind of dynamic between Miguel and Alonzo that I haven’t already done yet would be fun bc I tend to write Alonzo as just a creep near Miguel, unless he’s an AU version of himself… and honestly, I prefer the idea of a fun, chaotic Torquemada to the creep but it's so clear that Miguel thinks Alonzo's a creep that I guess I end up writing him that way too 🤷🏻‍♂️

Writing a fic where Alonzo turns out to be actually helpful/a tentative ally once/if Miguel is able to set boundaries/get his head on right, etc, would be interesting 🤔, but yeah, that’s about the extent of where my head’s at with them. Plot Plot, not ship stuff LOL.

ooh, we are social this week, which i’m digging! please note this isn’t an attack on anyone, this is just me adding to the conversation. so on the status of the fandom being dead. it is. (and this is a lot, cause i can’t shut up when i get going)

we can like sugar coat it all we want and say people don’t venture out to read or maybe they’ve lost interest in writing, but fandoms usually go dead—and this term doesn’t necessarily mean like absolutely NO FICS—it just means it wasn’t as hype as it was when the last season dropped, and that’s a literal fact. it’s been two years lol. summer of ‘22, i could refresh the eddie munson x reader tag and like 16 new fics and blurbs and posts would load every time, there was just so much fucking content—it was glorious and positive because there was so many people, way too many for people to start whatever bullshit ended up happening (that occurred during the first phase of people losing interest).

now if i refresh when i dare venture out to the tags (and we’ll get to that next), it’s not as frequent. plain and simple. it’ll pick back up when the next season drops, it’ll be all hype, and then it’ll die down again as the years go by. hell, even the supernatural fandom isn’t as wild as it used to be, and they were around for YEARS.

this is coming from someone who’s been here and read (and when i was just a reader, i lived in those tags) a specific steve fic for like 5 years because there wasn’t a ton of stuff being produced, yes some, but not even to the amount that’s coming out now. and that’s again because of the YEARS long gap. and the proof of that is in stonathan. we all know the gay ships are some of the most popular amongst fandoms, and while stonathan was replaced with steddie essentially, it’s been a hot minute since stonathan owned the stranger things fandom because again, it died down. people moved onto other ships from other shows or outgrew fanfiction for the fandom. that ship was like the stranger things equivalent to destiel at one point and now it’s a literal ghost, proof that this fandom does die down and that’s fine. it’ll pick back up one last time, it’s not the end of the world.

now onto the tags, a lot of people here—i’ve noticed more so sexually explicit writers (and i love your work, thank you for your service) just think people are like lazy or something. but really? it’s because a lot of people don’t tag their fics correctly.

some people have dark kinks, some people have more niche kinks, more innocent, etc., that’s inevitable, people have their own tastes. but they won’t tag it. and that’s when people get vocal about kinks and not letting people post what they want and stuff. do you, just make sure you do your due diligence, because when you intentionally don’t, people are gonna speak up. you and i know very well all tumblr users have opinions.

and when they do tag their work, it’s usually after it’s caused a stir or several hours after its been up (this is a tactic for engagement purposes, it’s not tagged for a couple of hours and then magically it appears hours after people have seen it and spread it and it happens pretty routinely). this is also applies to REBLOGS. i’m not sure if people think that because the original was tagged, it’ll be the same when they reblog, but it’s not! in fact, a lot of people just slap the eddie x reader tag on it and send it out again.

i get it, whatever it is may be your thing, my thing, but that’s just irresponsible and it sucks the joy out of whatever moment people were in when they went into the general tag. i don’t think it may have triggered them to the point of a mental breakdown, though i guess that could happen, but it definitely could put them in a man, fuck this shit i’m gonna go do something else or read something else from some other fandom, blah blah blah, and that’s valid, too. running into something you filtered out through the tags because someone didn’t want to tag their work so they could get more engagement kills vibes.

it’s happened a ton of times with me and so now i don’t go searching, because i’ve encountered waaaaaaaay too many dead doves with no proper tags other than “smut”.

i don’t ever really leave the three tab thingies on tumblr mobile home screen, so now i just get whatever i see my mutuals reblog, or something with a tag i follow (another neat feature to utilize), but again, because some people dont care to tag their stuff appropriately, it’s not always something i can read or something i feel mentally safe reading.

i doubt, like i seriously doubt, people only want to read their mutuals’ stuff. like me, i will support my mutuals and i appreciate them dearly but like….its not enough lol, i LOVE to read and i’m not tryna use them to farm a bunch of writing i can read for myself, that’s just fucked so i’m always looking (as best as i can while trying to avoid other people’s hidden landmines so to speak, because if i happen to like someone’s fic to read, i go back and check to see the blog is now just ‘???’ for me 💀) for new stuff from new writers, writers i don’t know, etc. that fits what i want to read (please, no more white character sibling!reader recs for me, i think you guys are so sweet for tryna plug me with something you think i’ll like but that immediately takes me out of the reader insert, like i can’t imagine myself or someone that looks like me)

yes, you can say there are cliques here who only support each other, and we haven’t been blind to drama and whatever, but people can say the same about you and your group of friends here. it’s all viewpoint. everyone is a part of a clique or group unless they literally don’t talk to anyone.

I think this is really important. People who can spend time on creating a lot, can spend time on answering prompts etc get more visibility by default. And that’s great and fair, but let’s not forget that not everyone has the time and/or energy to do that, plus it doesn’t make their art less than. In much the same way that operating as a “content machine” can lead artists into creative burnout and doesn’t necessarily make someone’s art better.

And another one: The fandom pipeline. As per the OP, it’s not just “well-known and popular”. It’s usually “well-known and popular because it serves the juggernaut.” It’s incredibly hard for artists and writers who create for rare pairs etc. The big ships are often self-perpetuating, to the degree that it’s all that’s visible. But by supporting artists outside of that bubble, you do two things:

a) you keep them going

b) you keep fandom truly diverse and inclusive

People always doubt this and give a lackadaisical hand-wave, accompanied by, “Well, you have to create more of what you want to see then.” Usually followed by, “Don’t create for the likes/reblogs, just do it for yourself, blah blah.” But that’s totally past the point, plus it’s diminishing every human being’s wish to be seen. And all artists are human beings, and

ART IS COMMUNICATION! Not a monologue.

Telling artists to “just create for themselves and not care” is seriously not getting that art is ultimately about human connection.

Because people are creating what they want to see. But interests are so singular in most fandoms, to the degree that some don’t even check tags anymore and just get all their “content” from one or two big blogs/curators or their mutuals. And while some people think that’s the easiest way to get more of what they like (true), it’s also a surefire way to keep the biased pipeline going until it’s all that’s left…

I am a) fucking upset about wikipedia the past 4 years and b) RAGING MAD right now!💥🌪️💥

a) First of all, I don’t know what most people use wikipedia nowadays but before 2020 I personally used it for verified information on mostly anime as well as other various topics. Let me explain the anime aspect a bit more though...

Back in my noob years, I would download to watch anime on my pc because connection was shit to load on an online site, which unfortunately sometimes led to watching things that left me baffled at best and horrified at worst. I had nightmares.

After the 3rd time this occurred, I resulted in checking wikipedia for genres and a general overlook of the main story of whatever I wanted to watch. Helped greatly— even helped me make watching lists depending on release dates etc. Everything peachy!

But after 2020… bloody fuck! What happened??? Every plot section always ends with the story’s conclusion stated flat out there for everyone to read — like an ass hanging out from a ripped pantsu!!! — and get the spoilers spit in their face… I mean, WHAT?! I never encountered this thing before! Why are the contributors feeling the need to fuck up your enjoyment? Is it revenge for being shut-ins during covid? Are authors replaced by the malign trolls that we had in the fandom since times immemorial? Was I too lucky to never encounter this (which I highly doubt considering all the anime researches I have done on the site!)? Which is it? This sucks majorly and I’m absolutely seething with how this particular side (anime media/entertainment) of the internet has become. I. HATE. IT..— 😤

b) And second of all, this is a recurring problem INSIDE fandom! I am 97% sure it’s the covid that let dicks sorry I meant people who normally wouldn’t bother with anime and fandom to take a swing at it and then invade platforms with tons of reposts of ‘sophisticated’ verbatim recounts of every chapter and every episode of every goddamn manga and anime that exists! What meta and shit? Make an actual observation first! Add something! Define something! IN YOUR WORDS! IN YOUR ART! And THEN call it meta!!! Also, here more specifically, I’m sick of seeing the same manga panel 278 times with just thirst captions being changed… Ya’ll are horny! We get it! Just put that one stupid panel up with as many deranged tags you like and let everybody else reblog it with their own! Jeez~ It’s so hard to find an art or an actual original post about something in all that mess! >:E

oooo, arcane! LoL! not involved in the fandom at all, but my first thought was surprise/disbelief — there’s so MUCH lore, all this is surely fandom/fanfic breeding grounds — and that’s not even to touch on the RPF possibilities hahaha. some random thoughts/initial observations:

is 14k fics a low amount? seems like a healthy number to me (‘not yuletide eligible’), and it seems like the vast majority are pure LoL and don’t overlap with arcane (2.6k works tagged with both).

jinx vi caitlyn jayce viktor etc — the arcane crew — are the top tagged characters, but there are tons of non-arcane characters there too. i’m pleasantly surprised by how femslash is the top ship type, and that it’s not all cait/vi, there are three times as many F/F fics as violyn. not surprised at all how the top non-arcane character is lux my babygirl ahahaha. and also ahri!

more on ships: i’m so surprised lux/jinx is big, i wouldn’t expect their storylines/characterizations to work well, i wonder if that came out of arcane or the star guardian skin hahah. i was thinking lux/syndra or lux/elise 👀😂😂 akali/evelynn, ahri/kaisa and diana/leona i can see much more easily! also loving the graves/TF, iconic. the overwatch vibes. hM i do want some lux/alistair or maybe some lucian/senna(/thresh?) and oooo maybe some yordle fic. will swap fic recs for stats

hm sry back to the original question/ask. arcane itself has 12k fics since 2021, which, considering the earliest LoL fics were posted in 2012, definitely is faster growth, at least on AO3. i wonder about outside of AO3 and maybe in non-english languages too, though! i personally do see a ton of fanart and gif edits on tumblr (and a passing amount of violyn fic from multifandom femslash mutuals), but (as anyone who’s tried to promote/rec fic probably knows), that says more about the nature of places like tumblr and casual-engagement discord servers than what dedicated fandom creators have been or are trying to do - and ofc my own very well curated mutuals list 😆

also curious about the demographics [region+gender especially] of the different fandom circles. super interesting, i’m very reminded of various sports fandoms and their vastly different groups of fan communities.

ALL THIS is to say - no stats, at least not right now (and maybe not anytime soon, i’m not a fan of doing stats when i don’t have a good feel of things, bc blah blah stats and lies) but i do have a bunch of thoughts and questions — i was just reading toast’s The second coming of the Good Omens fandom (July 2019) and in some ways it might make a good comparison! — would love to hear more, especially a) to get to know the fandom more and b) any specific questions you might have!

I feel bad for all the nice J*nsa shippers who like their ship for whatever reasons (tropes, pretty art, aesthetic appeal, whatever) and know it's not canon but get associated with the misogynistic Dany hating crowd who act like Jon being attracted to Ygritte is J*nsa foreshadowing because red hair (I guess Jon should fuck Edmure Tully too? Omg give me Dark!Jon getting revenge on Catelyn by seducing her brother!) Tell me something. I'm new to the fandom but was J*nsa popular before the show? And I've heard something about the OG J*nsa shippers being alienated by the new shippers who insisted it had to be canon and acted like the series is called, "A song of J*nsa #danysux." I don't find that hard to believe because I know people who are now ashamed of calling themselves J*nsa shippers. Like, at this point, it's not only rival shippers who hate it. Even Gendrya/Braime/Jon stans/etc have started disliking that ship. You know your fandom is a problem when people who have nothing to do with Jnsa have a problem with it.

disclaimer: as anon says I have no issue with like the shippers mentioned by anon in the beginning and ngl I agree, I have ABSOLUTELY ZERO FUCKING STAKES in the j*nsa vs j*nerys war and the only het jon ship I gaf about is jon/ygritte and we all know where that ended up I just... have been here since 2011/adwd was over and all the fic around was just for the books under secret lj communities and asoiaf qualified for yuletide and I have... seen... things.... and I actually have like uh had... beef... with some people in there and I know things bc ppl who hated those others told me stuff so anyway *sigh* buckle up anon I'mma tell you the story of jon shipwars through the years

in order, the old gods help me here, under the cut bc this is long as fuck

when I got into fandom also given what numbers were on ao3 one ship was popular and it was sansan. no like sansan was lit. the only asoiaf ship on ao3 with more than 200 fics. jb had twenty when i checked first. jc had like around 100-ish because of the show but sansan dwarfed anything. I posted the first jon/ygritte fic on the ao3 tag and the fourth throbb fic and like the others were all reposts from lj kinkmemes. nothing was popular before the show except for sansan when it comes to huge numbers bc grrm doesn't like fic and it was all hush hush until the show made it impossible to control and that ship was the one with a huge enough fanbase it actually had numbers, so like... j*nsa wasn't popular in the way nothing else was popular until it got screentime on the show

now, that stated, j*nsa had a... fair amount of fic for a rareship which was mostly book-based and from og shippers that were there from before the show and liked it for what it was but literally none of them thought it was gonna be canon, like it wasn't huge or anything but it had a small but dedicated fanbase who did their own thing and thought it was fun/liked the idea but that was it

that fandom had their own niche of hcs that they cultivated and shit except that like... at the end of S5/beginning of S6 there was a surge in shipping for... well obvious reasons bc it was obv sansa was getting to the wall and that would have been all nice and good but a) it was the time puritanical shipping was starting to take root and the 'shipping sansa with sandor or tyrion is hella problematic' rhetoric had started to circle coming from sans*ery shippers mostly but I'mma not open that fucking can of worms here, b) while the ending of S5 had more of a theon/sansa spike, the j*nsa stuff started getting big

now here we have to mention my villain origin story ie: j*nsa fandom had this one stan whose name I won't make because honestly it's been years and if she's still around I don't want her to remember I exist who was a bnf, wrote for... the website that created the whole larry/carol thing etc who was really fixed on this thing that j*nsa was actually canon and started writing extremely popular meta about it. now you're gonna ask how do you know, I know because this person once wrote a meta named 'why robb stark is a dick' and I told her that it was really fucking bad meta and she took it so badly she kept on trash talking me on her blog/her podcast (I was apparently the insane robb stark fangirl l m a o good lord) and like that was when some sane ppl who argued with her informed me in pvt that she was basically harping on the CANON thing when they'd have been okay with like... it being crackshipping and that she was basically cultivating a hoarde of followers who were harping on them/the ogs and basically ostracizing them;

I would like to add that this person - before her tumblr got 'accidentally deleted' and remade it therefore deleted most receipts for, er, her so-called meta which included stuff like ned and cat raised sansa as a sexual object and only wanted to sell her like cattle - had at some point started a round robin fic thing where... some of the characters mocked openly said stuff that some of the og fans had said specifically targeting them and people in that side basically went harassing anyone who didn't agree with that specific notion

now never mind that this person basically coined an entire term to describe ppl who liked white guys and excused all their wrongdoings out of my conversation re robb basically lying about everything I said as if I didn't have the receipts and tried to sell shirts with it and it didn't work and like then she got kicked out of her own website because she was telling her commenters disagreeing pretty shitty insults (considering I was called psychotic for disagreeing with her that time I don't doubt it) I think at some point she stepped back from fandom bc idk wtf she's up to these days and I don't want to, but basically at that point the dam was broken and there was a bunch of puritanical shippers harping on anyone who didn't agree with j*nsa is canon endgame stuff

this also includes an incident when those ppl were like... passing themselves as throbb shippers and ended up trying to tell t*hramsay shippers off the theon tag based on moral reasons and I ended up arguing with all of them (and they were all from that crowd) which in turn landed me in contact with other og j*nsa shippers who were like detached from that fandom bc those same people harassed them away as well ssooooo fun

anyway when S6 happened everyone was high on it and whatnot but I wasn't gonna begrudge them that I mean... you shipped it for years, canon is delivering you, good for you, but then j*nerys happened

god j*nerys happened

aaand basically...... I mean personally I was there like are y'all seriously arguing about the best incest jon ship out there but like basically the j*nsa endgame side was like AH JON IS PLAYING DANY SEE IF IT DOESN'T HAPPEN, the j*nerys obv got defensive af and both sides were sort of alternatively shitting on jon/ygritte anyway and depicting any other romantic rship jon could have as abusive™ and during S8 it just got worse and like I tried to stay out of it but basically from what I'm seeing now idk how the j*neryses are doing but on the j*nsa one it's ah jon's gonna play dany anyway and she's going to go insane like in the show so SHOW TRUTHING EVERY OTHER WAY and like again denying that sandor exists or that tyrion exists and like I barely touch my corner (sansan) but I ended up arguing with j*nsa/th*nsa people on twitter who were antis and is2g it was white-hair inducing and I know for sure the sansa/tyrion shippers were harassed to hell and back throughout so FUN

and even if the show didn't go there now since everyone there banked on the jnsa endgame thing and admitting you're wrong is like... not a thing, they still haven't let go of it and attach to that ship any shred of evidence which honestly is grasping at straws half of the time (like... the sansa/alysanne parallels like guys please no) and which is why every other ship is starting to get fed up, attaching canon proof of stuff from other ships onto theirs see that batb argument and jb is platonic but jonsa is not nvm taking all the sansan stuff and throwing it on j*nsa but then denying that sansan has canon evidence (like guys I had to read sansa touching his shoulder when saying gregor wasn't a true knight wasn't meaningful and we were seeing things please) and blah blah blah

this also goes hand in hand with the fixation on like... villanizing dany at all costs and like is2g I have zero investment in dany or her storyline I don't even remember it and I don't particularly care abt her either way and sure af I'm not for j*nerys endgame but like.... some stuff I read is completely excessive esp when fixing on how she's a completely mad tyrant who's gonna have to be put down and like... guys no

(also there's some srs stannis hate in that corner which I honestly don't get why they even care abt stannis but I had to read stuff like ppl don't recognize that dany and stannis are the real villains in this saga and like........ idek)

I think most of the og shippers are gone or don't ship it openly bc they don't want to be attached to the drama but like I also think they're pissing off everyone else bc like... I mean a bunch of them also were down with sansa being paired with other ppl as long as it meant a good ending for her except those ppl were... like everyone but the ppl she has actual contact with in canon which meant that at some point sansa/gendry was a thing and like.... you can imagine why arya/gendry shippers & arya stans were fed up, and there's also this tendency to behave like sansa is the center of the entire saga which like these books is named a song of jon snow basically can we pls make peace with it and personally I've had it with both j*nsa and j*nerys people since they started with that dumbass JON/YGRITTE WAS AN ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP rhetoric but I'm also fed up with the total ignoring that sandor exists/depicting us as delusional and honestly I also was by proxy fed up from the harassing of the sansa/tyrion shippers soooooooooooo

there were also instances of 'well theon is an acceptable choice other than jon bc he can't threaten her' which... i mean we all know what that meant and I'm not even commenting it bc it's one AM and I have no force to but I don't have to explain why it's not a progressive take now do I

there were also metas about how cousin incest being legal in half of the world means that jondany is a worse incest and j*nsa doesn't count as such and I was basically there like guys please just fucking own up to it but honestly I chose to forgot where I read that and I couldn't find the link if I tried

tldr: no one wants to admit that it's not gonna be endgame which considering the amount of fic they have on ao3 is imvho useless bc they have more content than like.. anything I ship that's not jb or that's actually like canon *cries in joncon/rhaegar but I mean renly/loras is canon and has less fic than them* so idk what's the problem with enjoying that instead of insisting it's gonna be canon when not even the show validated it while show truthing anyway when the only show truthing that can be truthed is the small council made of minorities and possibly jon eventually fucking off with the wildlings but not like that but like most people who thought it wasn't gonna be endgame had left/were made to leave by the time S7 rolled by and at this point since wow isn't out yet everyone is fandom-grasping at straws to find stuff to discourse on and we're here beating dead horses *shrug*

so that's... how it is but I would again like to point out that I don't judge ppl on their shipping, I don't particularly care about this entire feud bc I only ship jon with ppl he's not related to in whichever way and I try to stay out of this mess bc I don't really care to argue with ppl who have already decided to bend canon to whatever they want and will have to realize that it's not what grrm wrote at some point but like I have a very good memory and the above rant is as objective as possible also bc again I don't literally have a stake in that race I just think romantic/endgame j*nsa is not a thing and that ppl should stay in their lane and not harping on other ppl who ship whatever in general but especially when their ship is the most popular thing in fandom in the first place /two cents

Manacled was not in anyway romantic, the author specifically said that. It’s people who chose to see it like that.

Also please don’t base a ship on one specific story, there are other dramione stories out there that are nothing like this. Don’t make people feel bad about liking a ship.

Being a supercorp shipper sometimes sucks when i go to look at fanart but get bombarded with anti crap (all types of anti) and immature people gatekeeping. Like bruh, people can ship whatever they want, whether it be the old canon ship from the comic (Supergirl x Brainy) or fanon like Karamel or Supercorp or Valorcorp or Sanvers (though it would have been nice if Queller kept Maggie's daughter from the comics since she's a middle aged lesbian with a child). Is it really that hard for all of us to get along and agree that the showrunners make shitty story arcs for all of the characters? because really the CW dc shows are just terrible fanfics inspired by the comics. (also, Lar Gand/Mon El is no longer Superman's adoptive brother in the comics, he is now Jon Kent's great grandson which means he's related to Kara..... it sucks I know, as a Legion fan I hate the new comic canon lore with a passion)

And you are sure you use the tags not the search? Because when you use search, you see all stuff aka things that are tagged anti too. At least on the tumblr, not sure about twitter and insta. But if you see karamels being mean and tagging their anti stuff as SC, send me a link, I will ask to remove the tags.

As for your general question, no, I don't think we as ship fandoms can live peacefuly and agree that ship and allow to ship. For some reason, if the fandoms focus too much on ships (my theory is, when a show basically sucks and there is nothing to focus but relationships the fandoms go to shit. It's kind of the tv/movie producers fault, because of them forcing love relationships to every show/movie, even when they could just fucking not, but sex sells blah blah blah) they turn to be super fanatic, gross and basically behave like they are on a war for a better world, while it all is about getting the two characters they like to kiss.

This is what happened to SG. There is basically nothing to talk about in the main tags, most posts are just about ships or pics of that one fanatcis fave. And I miss the times when I could go to the tags and read some meta, sigh.

I don't know the rest of the shows, I don't watch them, but the fact is Gossip Queller Girl and Rowner should have not become the showruners of this show. Queller admitted she has never read a comic book. That's my whole comment.

I mean, I don't read the comics (I'm too annoyed by the fact the are gazillion diffrent veriosns that are contradicting to each other, I prefered manga, sorry), but I treat the comic book canon and tv show canon like two different versions. It's like show Kara didn't fuck a horse and Lobotomizer never used a wheelchair and was not disabled etc.

Also, I have heard a lot of Mon-El and Legion fans hate the new version, so you are not alone.

Almost exclusively GoT, and one (1) tiny Good Omens ficlet as a gift. I dabbled in Harry Potter with a different AO3 account, but my heart just wasn't in it.

I always respond to comments eventually. My MO is to answer comments on the latest chapter right before I post a new one. Comments on last chapters or one-shots I answer whenever I have time/headspace. Longer comments (which I of course adore ❤️) sometimes take me longer to answer because I want to do them justice!

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Everyone who reads my stuff knows I'm always trying to go for the big HEA. Probably the Soulmate AU, but that doesn't count because the sequel has a big, fat happy ending.

(But ooooooh just you wait for the Superhero AU to drop... *evil laughter*)

Not as of yet and I don't think I will.

Twice! One was a comment calling me foul and disgusting etc on the Vamp AU, the other one was on The Best of Friends, complaining that I made Jon too feminine (because he doesn't like to eat in bed re: crumbs, guess men are all secretly fakirs) and that Theon and Jon don't hate each other (they just met for the first time at the start of the fic)

Do you write smut? If so what kind?

I do write loads of smut, all kinds I guess? (there are different kinds of smut? 🤔)

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not stolen, no. There *is* a Greysnow soulmate AU out there somewhere that has many specific elements of my own Greysnow soulmate AU, but that could be a coincidence, and if not, well I just choose to see it as having possibly inspired the author. But no one ever stole actual parts of my writing.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

I've had several requests from kind people who wanted to translate some of my fics into Russian and Chinese, which I always enthusiastically agreed to, but I never followed up on those or looked if they are out there.

Have you ever co-written a fic?

YES! I did a whole Jondry series with @quicksilvermaid and had so much fun doing it! There is another collab on the horizon (Gendrya and Greysnow, next year) with the very talented @thereluctantbadger which I'm very much looking foward to!

What’s a WIP you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

I have several WIPs in my docs that involve Robb POV, and since he's being a dick and not letting me hear his voice, those probably won't ever happen.

What’s your writing strengths?

Humour, I guess. I love infusing even the darkest fic with some bits of light here and there. I'm a comedic genius, what can I say (and so humble 😬)

What’s your writing weaknesses?

Action scenes, like fights or such. Always feels flat and blah to me. Also, I'm kinda bad at including side plots and characters. Too fixated on my OTP 😅

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in fic?

I've never done it, but have encountered it in reading. Only bothers me if it's so much I constantly have to use google translate or scroll to the bottom when the author has a translation there. A bit is fine I guess.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Game of Thrones lol

What’s your favourite fic you’ve written?

That's STILL Smile of a Ghost, my first baby. I wish I found the time for a proper rewrite, alas... too many WIPs, not enough time.
